height of kitchen counter with stools?

I am looking for a kitchen stool. the meter is 4 feet high, what should be the stool? How much? i dont want expensive. just under $ 50

Think of your kitchen table / chairs want to be able to pull up to the bar and the height should be able to comfortably seat so you can rest your forearms on a 90 degree angle. So you want a bank that is about 3 feet tall … unless you are taller or shorter. For 1 stool? Got to a furniture store used or second hand. You can paint the stool to match the room.
