Can I mount a flat screen HDTV vertically?

I'm looking to replace a conference room projector with 1080p 52 "HDTV. Almost everything what we see there are websites designed for 1024×768 screen. If I mount the TV normally, I get the 1386×768 pixel resolution, but a good amount of screen space be wasted. I really want to run it at 1920×1080, but rotate the screen 90 degrees, so that we would all the width of the height, but much larger. Can I wall mount 52 "LCD or plasma TV that way? Better yet, there is a rotating assembly can use, so could change the landscape and portrait? I have not found anything just yet. I know that my video card supports, as we have a rotation of 24 "display connected to the computer. I am more concerned if there is any physical problem with the vertical mounting – that is, will put undue stress on the back of the TV?

Most video cards support the rotation through the menus, and I've seen a lot of small LCD, I'm not sure that is possible.

Since you found this site, I assume you are interested in gaining a few extra inches of height. Although (if you’re a mature adult) this may sound like a pipe dream, I assure you that it is easier than you think! We’ve all been taught that height is mostly out of our control, that it’s largely determined by genetics. I’m here to tell you that there is more to the story. Of course our gene pool has a lot to do with ones height, but it is definitely not the only factor. Your state of emotion, your exercise regimen, the food you eat, and the hours you sleep are all factors in height determination. Click here to read the rest of the article: Free Height Enhancement
