Protein shakes are bad for adolescents growth?

Hi, I'm currently 15 years old, 5'8 "and 150 pounds. I bank on 150 pounds and clean up about 145 pounds max. I workout Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and run / spring on Tuesday and Thursday as part of Our program of high school football. I notice that many of my friends are protein shakes, as optimal nutrition 100% whey protein, the CytoGainer CytoSports and similar products. They are gaining weight and are getting stronger faster than me. know that protein in excess is not good for the liver, but honestly, all affect me if I ~ 100 grams of protein a day? Is it worth spending money on these supplements? I'm only 15, is healthy for me? Furthermore, in a offtopic note, I have not grown (height-wise) much in the last 1-2 years. I turned 15 a few months ago. In theory, it should be growing much now. However, there were more boys before my growth spurt. Now I'm only 5'8 "and I'm not growing much, in anyway. Should I worry?

For their weight they do not need more than 50-60 grams of protein a day – and this is probably more than enough for their needs. The RDA for protein is 10% of total calories – and the GDR has been set for about twice what the average person need … in the meantime a majority of Americans consume twice the RDA for what you already get more protein than necessary. Adding ~ 100 grams of protein is quite unnecessary and possibly a problem in the long run, although studies are inconclusive. If your friends are earning more than could be genetic or can be simply because their protein shakes to give them extra calories. 100 grams of protein has 400 calories. it may be that if only there was more of some of the healthiest foods to eat also obtained the same results without having to use expensive and unnecessary supplements. Not sure about his lack of growth. Not all children have growth spurts at the same time. Is it close to his parents in height already? If you can not have a growth spurt again in a few years.
