Need help with projectile motion?
The question is: A rifle that shoots bullets at 460m / s fires at a target distance of 45.7m. If the center target is the same height as the barrel of the rifle, how high above the target that the rifle is pointed so that the bullet hits dead center? This is difficult because I'm not allowed to use the range formula. Without this, I do not know where to start, because the kinematic equations do not seem to help. Could someone help me please?
