Stereo for Dummies

Confused about the technical aspects of this hot trend in Hollywood? Just how do you create these films "Wonderful things out of the screen to you?" Like a pack of fools, we sat in the theater cling to nothing, trying to ignore the foliage of the forest Pandora exuberant, or perhaps with the hope that Alice, trapped in his wonderland nightmare, could somehow be rescued again in the reality of our touch of love. On the other hand maybe that's just me? If you're at all curious about how the magic of 3D stereoscopic work, however, hesitate to address the issue for fear of being caught in a maelstrom of indecipherable geek speak, then let me explain this curious privilege to the simplest terms available to man:

The difference in having two eyes

Ever wonder how your life can be different if they only had the use of a eye? Try to focus on one subject for a moment to say something small like a pen. First, the position of his nose just in front of the object to be focused on their field of vision. Now close one eye and stay focused on the object. Then pretend that you're taking a picture with the eye, rapid blinking to represent a shutter speed accompanied by appropriate sound effect should do the trick. Now keep the image / photo you captured in your mind, then close and open the eyes of others. Note the difference between what we are seeing?

The wonders of binocular vision

Each eye is capturing a slightly different image to a slightly different angle. Put these two images together and what is to stop what is called binocular vision. Seeing with two eyes gives us with the benefit of not only has a wider field of view, but also allows us to more accurately perceive depth.

Perception Depth

When we look out on a horizon, there are a number of ways we are able to determine the amount of depth between each object within our range of sight. If, for example, they were trying to determine the distance between Aunt Milders House, the oak in your backyard and snow capped mountains in the distance, there would be a series of visual cues to help you make an accurate view.

Depth Percieving Visual Signals

The vertical position, for example, can determine the distance between two objects based on their height relative to each other within their field of vision; Basically, the larger the object, the farther away. Another useful reference is the atmospheric haze. Objects that are farther away in the distance tend to have less visual clarity that objects that are closer, both the strength of his vision as well as the interference of atmospheric conditions between the object and point of view. There are several other signals we leave for determining the depth, but without doubt the greatest assets to human eyes is to have an identical twin. With two eyes, the mind is capable to cross reference the visual information received and produce a hightened perception of depth.

The sight of replication of Human Rights

It is our natural vision, binocular stereoscopic 3D takes to create their illusion of depth in what is truly a flat, two dimensional images. You see, when the images they are seeing on the screen where it originally filmed, the filmmakers captured every scene with two separate chambers, placed exactly in the angle right and the distance, in order to replicate the effect of human binocular vision.

The purpose of 3D Glasses

Next time you are in the theater watching a 3D movie, try to remove his glasses for a moment and analyze what you see. What might appear to be a blurry mess is actually two slightly different images superimposed on top of each. 3D glasses are specifically designed for each of your eyes can only see one of the two images is presented on the screen. Our mind then put the images together and fill the gaps, and as a result allowing us to collect visual information about depth three-dimensional scene that we are watching.

The great illusion of 3D stereoscopic

Our minds are essentially being tricked in belief that the objects we see on the screen has real, physical between them, because the eyes are cross-referenced visual information from two different images we are saying is the truth perceived.

Like Magic

It's all an illusion, a lie fascinating that can also serve as a reminder appropriate that we can not always trust what our eyes see. And as the grand wizards, salsa filmmakers in the wonder that can instill in the audience, as it captures the hearts and minds, drawing people into a world where anything is possible.

Although (if you’re a mature adult) this may sound like a pipe dream, I assure you that it is easier than you think! We’ve all been taught that height is mostly out of our control, that it’s largely determined by genetics. I’m here to tell you that there is more to the story. Of course our gene pool has a lot to do with ones height, but it is definitely not the only factor.
