nba height distribution
2009

Help me solve this problem of the normal distribution? (math)?
I do not know how to solve this problem, may help explain how? Suppose that the distribution of the NBA has an average height of 6 feet, 8 inches, and a standard deviation of 3 inches. If there are 324 players in the league, how many players are expected to be more than 7feet high? How do I fix this? What are the steps? Thank you!
8 I imagine that 95% of the players are from [6 feet 2 and 7 feet]. The mean (6ft 8in) + y – 2 (standard deviation) So, 5% of the population is outside this range above and below. Assuming a bell distribution = 2.5% of 324 is about 8. I know this seems like a wild guess. This is my estimate. Chemistry / Mathematics was a long, long time ago.
